FOUNDER MEMBER DAPHNE
On 2nd June 2026 Monday Studio members enjoyed cake and coffee with one of our founding members, Daphne.
For the past 26 years Daphne has been a staunch supporter and member of Monday Studio.
At 93 she is moving to pastures new and starting out on an exciting new chapter in her life, but never fear, she will also be continuing to produce her lovely artwork in a village not far from us.
In recognition of her contribution to Monday Studio it has been the Studio's great delight to make her a LIFETIME MEMBER and the Studio will be welcoming her back for workshops and many other events.
Good luck and see you soon Daphne .............

Back in 2000 some of our members were dissatisfied with the art class they were attending. As a result, over lunch and drinks in the local pub, their brainchild of an independent art group, Monday Studio, was born.
Two years later the group had outgrown its home in Caldecote Village Hall and coincidentally a Monday morning slot became vacant at Comberton Village Old Hall ...... the move was made!
In 2006 Comberton's New Village Hall was built and Monday Studio has enjoyed the use of the hall and its facilities ever since.
We meet weekly on Monday mornings and are primarily a self-help group of motivated and talented amateur artists. We exchange ideas and information and enjoy demonstrations and participating in self led and professional artist led workshops, tackling various media.
The group is ever evolving and over the years all members have grown and continue to further develop their skills and styles. Currently we have 22 members with diverse careers both past and present but with a communal love and passion for art!
Since 2006 we have put on bi-annual exhibitions of our own, held in Comberton Village Hall and sponsored by the Village Hall trustees. Take a look here at our last three exhibitions 2025 2023 2021
With Cambridge on our doorstep and central London less than an hour away we are able to take advantage of a range of museums, galleries, lectures, exhibitions and diverse external workshops.
