Denise Schoenberg - Queen's Doorway - Monday 11th Novmber 2024
Another excellent workshop. Denise took us steadily through her watercolour process which was very methodical and considered, We picked up some tips for colour matching, straight line making, the use of a particular white acrylic for small high lights and much, much more. I think you will find the results varied and impressive.

Rachel Thompson - Freedom in Form and Techniques - Monday 14th October 2024
A great workshop was had with Rachel Thompson. She took us out of our comfort zones, reminded us of a number of techniques and inspired us to feel what we draw and set us free to experiment with continuous line drawing and blind drawing. To many of us remain in our safe zones, it's good to play with different mediums, styles, textures and colour, and to just let yourself go ........
Take a look at Rachel's work on her Instagram account, by clicking on the link below, much of which is inspired by nature, natural objects and her favourite places in the natural world.

Sho-jen - Chinese Brushwork - Monday Studio
21st October 2019 - Comberton Village Hall - 10am - 4pm
Many of us were familiar with Sho-jen's work as she has tutored us before. She is a local artist and has been practicing Chinese art and Calligraphy for many years.
Szho-jen made today's workshop fun, interesting and without exception everyone enjoyed it very much. As an entirely different technique I think you will agree when you take a look at THE RESULTS video that we all achieved some good results, especially those of us who were experiencing Chinese painting for the first time. Landscape in Acrylics - Jamie Sugg
Monday 12th November - 10am-4pm
Jamie laid down the gauntlet by allowing us to use only palette knives, primary colours and white!! Less was definitely more, and although some of us found it challenging, we all surprised ourselves and hopefully Jamie too.. Colour mixing and application were the two fundamental elements of the day, focussing on light and contrast.
